Personal Optical Carries
the Following Coatings
Scratch Protection

Plastic lenses are a soft material. Personal Optical recommends a scratch guard coating to protect your lenses. A lens treated with this coating is guaranteed for the first year. A few exceptions apply, dog chewing being one of them.
A good rule of thumb is if you can see a scratch on the lens but cannot "feel" it, the warranty covers the problem and the lens will be replaced at no charge. Lenses which are not covered by the warranty can be replaced at minimal charge.
Antiglare

Driving at night or working under fluorescent lighting can irritate the eyes. If glare from rain, snow or computer screens bother you, Personal Optical suggests trying antiglare. This coating helps block most reflections from getting into the eye and obstructing vision.

This coating is also recommended for clients with high prescriptions as glare worsens with thicker lenses. Cosmetically, your glasses will look nicer on you as people will see your eyes clearly without reflection.
Tinting
Tints are used for two reasons: Cosmetics and brightness.
Cosmetics: Tinting can enhance your frame colours or create an appealing colour to your lenses.
Brightness: Tinting helps dim the bright sunlight or bright lights at home or at the office.
If you are sensitive to light, Personal Optical recommends applying a light to medium tint to your regular glasses as well as always keeping a second pair of darker sunglasses for those beautiful, but bright sunny days.
